Media Mentor, The American Pavilion at Cannes (May 2009)
I mentored a group of ten communications students enrolled in the American Pavilion Student Program at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. This involved advising them on career possibilities, presenting on my own career path and skills, and providing general support while in France. In addition, I provided assistance with the Speakers Series, which included a talk by Martin Scorsese.

Marketing & Media Manager, Big Bear Lake International Film Festival (2007 – )
~ I conduct video and audio interviews with honorees that comprise Oscar winning actors, directors and cinematographers.
~ I place advertising with appropriate magazines, radio and TV stations and websites, then survey festival attendees on how they heard about us.
~ I write and distribute press releases and PSAs to the media, service clubs and schools, as well as organize press and donor contacts.
~ I tweet through Twitter.
~ As Secretary, I take notes at all Board meetings, maintain electronic and print records, and handle correspondence.
~ I provide scheduling support to the festival president.

News Anchor, Inland Empire News Radio (February 2007 – September 2009)
I anchored and engineered from my home studio daily newscasts for the award-winning IENR for broadcast on:
KUCR 83.3FM (University of California, Riverside),
KCAA 1050 AM (an NBC station in San Bernardino)
KVCR-FM 91.9 (a PBS/NPR station in San Bernardino).
This position required me to coordinate with several reporters on a variety of print and audio material. Duties included copy editing, digital audio editing, writing and reporting on deadline -- three daily reports, five days a week.

For four years, I served as News Director & Anchor, which required clarity under pressure and the ability to synthesize and condense large amounts of information for broadcast. I wrote/edited and announced all stories, then posted them on our website. In 2007, I produced a weekly profile series, Arts on the Air, recording sound bytes from my interviewees, narrating the report and mixing over a music bed. ?I then became the Weekend Station Manager. Duties included:
- Announcing hourly news reports
- Performing regular air shifts as DJ
- Producing call-ins and remote broadcasts
- Writing and delivering weather reports and live traffic bulletins
- Operating the broadcast board and all studio equipment
- Researching for news and interviews; writing scripts

- Trouble-shooting technical and on-air issues
- Loading songs into music library
- Making programming decisions in stressful situations
- Promoting the station with public appearances, etc.
- Taking and posting photographs onto our website; posting and categorizing stories
